We Have A Winner!Congratulations to Medical Transport Service (MTS) on receiving the 2023 New York State Innovation Award for Recruitment and Retention Innovation. This prestigious award will be presented at the upcoming Vital Signs Conference in Syracuse later this month. MTS earned this recognition through their participation in the Allegany County Mock DUI drill, a strategic effort to enhance recruitment and retention. During this event, they simulated a drunk driving accident scenario, highlighting the grave consequences of impaired driving. MTS played a vital role by actively engaging and showcasing their expertise in emergency medical care. An important outcome of this innovative approach was the meaningful connection forged with high school students, providing them with an authentic experience of the work done by EMS professionals. Additionally, a comprehensive video of the event has been created by the local BOCES in Allegany County. You can watch it here: Allegany County Stop-DWI Mock Crash. Once again, kudos to MTS for their outstanding contributions to healthcare and community engagement. ARC READY NonprofitsThrough our commitment to the Appalachian Regional Commission's READY program for nonprofits, Southern Tier Health Care System has successfully secured grant funding to bolster our organizational capabilities. We're thrilled to announce that we have been granted funds to bolster our Caregiver Navigation program, a pivotal initiative led by Bethany. This program is designed to alleviate caregiver strain within our catchment area.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to the ARC for their support in making this endeavor possible. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to expand and enhance this program in the upcoming year. Your continued support will undoubtedly make a positive impact on our community. Comments are closed.
