YMCA's Open Water and Boating Safety Training
Each year, SKSTNY presents our Open Water and Boating Safety training to the Olean YMCA's swim lesson classes. During these sessions, we educate children from kindergarten to 12th grade on water and boating safety and provide free U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets. Through these classes, SKSTNY has provided over a hundred free life jackets to kids!
Thank you to Safe Kids Worldwide and the U.S. Coast Guard for providing funding to allow us to distribute these life jackets to those in need. Additional thanks to the Olean YMCA staff for partnering with us on this program.
