Vital Signs EMS Academy

The Bureau of EMS has launched its new Learning Management System (LMS), Vital Signs Academy. Their goal is to deliver educational content in a more advanced way. We aim to enhance the quality of learning by being flexible to different learning styles while improving efficiency and effectiveness. The courses and modules within the LMS, have been created with you, the user, in mind. To register for courses, click here.

Vital Signs

Southwestern Regional EMS Council is offering reimbursement for providers from Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties who attend. Information regarding reimbursement for Vital Signs can be found on our website (click here). Please be sure to follow the instructions for individual reimbursement on the site and listed below. Forms must be submitted by Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
 
Vital Signs Conference Reimbursement Instructions
  1. Reimbursement must be funding of last choice.
  2. Only conference registration fee (conference fee or virtual event fee) and hotel fee is reimbursable. Hotel fee will be reimbursed in accordance with the U.S. General Services Administration Per Diem hotel rates found at https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates.
    1. The CORE Refreshers, Certified Instructor Updates, and Pre-conference sessions are not eligible for reimbursement.. 
  3. Maximum amount per individual is $400 and will be dependent on the number of people who apply for reimbursement from each county.
  4. Original receipts must be submitted with reimbursement voucher.
  5. Receipts must be made out to the individual seeking reimbursement, not an agency. Agencies will not be reimbursed.
  6. A PPA and current year skills sheet must be on file with STEMS.
  7. Agencies will not receive reimbursement of any kind.
  8. Forms must be submitted to SWREMS c/o STHCS by Wednesday, December 1, 2021. STHCS will compile and submit to each county council for verification. The county council must return reimbursement forms to SWREMS for final approval.
