CEO Update: November 18, 2022

National Injury Prevention Day 

November 18th, the Injury Free Coalition for Kids and the country's leading injury and violence prevention organizations will join forces to push for change. Their efforts will mark the country's 3rd "National Injury Prevention Day," a day to raise awareness to empower communities to make a difference.  

Our Safe Kids Coalition has asked organizations throughout our catchment to support this day by "shining a green light" to raise awareness for injury prevention.

Part-Time SAFE Coordinator

Thanks to Connecting Communities in Action funding, I am happy to report that we have hired one of our SAFE providers to serve as a part-time coordinator for the program within Olean General Hospital and Jones Memorial Hospital. Brandace Gaylor, RN, NY SAFE, has been selected for this role. She will ensure adequate stocking of exam rooms, competencies on the EVA system, and coordination of quarterly meetings, among other duties. I am happy to have Brandace in this role and look forward to working with her in this new position.
