Forensic Nurses WeekHappy Forensic Nurses week! This week we would like to thank all of our fantastic SAFE Providers for dedicating their time and skills to caring for survivors of sexual assault. In addition, we thank you for your ongoing commitment. Forensic Nurses have the knowledge and expertise to decrease the healthcare consequences of sexual violence, improve patient recovery, and lower healthcare costs. Cattaraugus County Career AcademyThe first two sessions of the Healthcare track for the Cattaraugus County Career Academy took place at STHCS this week. All students who participated this week were able to complete the training to be certified in American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR, First Aid and AED. This is a great training to start the student's exposure to the healthcare field. The next sessions will be December 13 and 15 and will focus on careers including occupational therapy, physical therapy, athletic training, speech pathology, and human services. Veteran’s DayI wish all veterans who, despite the risk and sacrifice, served and defended the United States. I would also like to recognize those currently fighting as we honor our veterans and remember their great deeds. Finally, I hope everyone has a great weekend and can spend time with those you love the most. Comments are closed.
