Congressman Reed’s visit to STHCS 

On Tuesday, Congressman Tom Reed stopped by our office to have a meeting with the Appalachian Recovery Coalition. During his visit, the coalition was able to discuss funding concerns, workforce instability, increase demand in recovery services and how telehealth can be a part of moving forward to providing care. This was a great visit with Congressman Reed and we look forward to future collaborations! 
 
The Appalachian Recovery Coalition has been a great partnership between STHCS, CAReS, ACASA, Clarity Wellness Community, and the Cattaraugus County Department of Community Services and it was great that our elected officials are so dedicated to the services we are able to provide to the community. 

Bike Rodeo 

​I am happy to report that on Wednesday our Safe Kids coalition hosted a Bike Rodeo in celebration of National Bike to School Day at the Olean Family YMCA. Bike rodeos teach children bike safety skills while also ensuring bicycles and helmets are inspected and fitted correctly. The City of Olean Fire Department and volunteers from the BOCES medical assisting program were able to attend the event and help educate the children in bike safety and do checks on all bikes and helmets. I want to thank our Safe Kids Program Coordinator, Sydney Beeman, for all her hard work to make sure this event was a success!
