CEO Update: May 17, 2024

Happy EMS Week! 

May 19-25, 2024, is the 50th Anniversary of EMS Week. This year's theme, "Honoring Our Past. Forging Our Future," celebrates the history of EMS and the ongoing work to improve it. We want to thank the EMS providers in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties, as well as all EMS professionals in New York State, for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to celebrating all EMS providers next week! ​

New Team Members 

I am excited to announce that STHCS has welcomed two new staff members to our team. Hannah Buck has joined us as an administrative assistant. She will be supporting me with daily tasks and helping to coordinate our committees and activities. Ellie Strade, an EMT-B, has joined us as a program assistant. She will help organize the Southern Tier EMT-B Academy this summer. Ellie is a student at St. Lawrence University, where she studies statistics and public health, and she graduated from the 2023 Southern Tier EMT-B Academy. 

We are thrilled to have them both on our team and look forward to seeing them grow at STHCS.
