Spread the LoveFeedMore WNY is holding their second annual Spread the Love peanut butter drive. This event helps support our neighbors in need by collecting peanut butter, which is often a needed item through their food bank distribution. On Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a collection of peanut butter at the Olean Farmer’s Market. From now until June 4, STHCS is also urging anyone who wants to donate to drop off their peanut butter donations to our office at 150 N. Union St., Olean. We are currently challenging the EMS agencies in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties to get involved in this event and the agency that drops of the most amount of peanut butter to STHCS will win a $50 Amazon giftcard! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Cadaver LabYesterday, 35 providers from the Regional Paramedic Program had the opportunity to receive hands-on experience at the University at Buffalo Cadaver Lab. These providers had the chance to learn how to perform intubations and other skills while working with the cadavers. I would like to thank UBMD Emergency Medicine Division and especially Dr. Brian Clemency, and current UBMD EMS Fellow, Dr. John Kruse, for partnering with us to make this learning opportunity available for our providers as this opportunity is always an incredibly beneficial experience.
