Blood Drive Anniversary!Tomorrow will be two years since we held our first blood drive with ConnectLife at STHCS! What started as a temporary location for ConnectLife due to many canceled blood drives right as the pandemic started has turned into a great partnership with two blood drives per month at STHCS. Over two years, we have had 763 donors, which has led to nearly 2,300 lives saved! Pictured is Brett Lawton, CEO of Universal Primary Care, who was able to make his first blood donation at STHCS and place his leaf on our Tree of Life! We are happy we were able to start hosting these blood drives for our community and look forward to saving many more lives. Reaching the 5%Southern Tier Health Care System has continued our partnership with the Community Service Society of New York (CSS) through their “Reaching the 5%” uninsured outreach program for the second year of funding. Yesterday, Alicia presented to the organizations that are part of the Reaching 5% program on STHCS’ techniques for outreach to rural counties. In addition, she was able to share the successes of our outreach in our catchment and how excited we are about moving forward with the initiative. I would like to thank the Health Foundation of Western and Central NY for continuing funding for this program for an additional year. Update Link Comments are closed.
