Smoke Alarm Program in Chautauqua County  As we move the clocks forward March 13 for Daylight Saving Time, our Safe Kids coalition would like to remind everyone not to forget to check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. This simple act can save your life or others in the event of an emergency. I want to thank Lake Shore Savings Bank Community Reinvestment Program for funding a program that will allow us to distribute 180 smoke alarms to families in need in Chautauqua County. It is our hope that we will be able to expand this program to Cattaraugus and Allegany counties as well. Cattaraugus County CHA Steering Committee  This week, I was able to attend the steering meeting for the Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan for Cattaraugus County. At this meeting we were able to review the results from the community survey and the focus groups that have been completed in an effort to prepare the final improvement plan. I want to thank Dr. Watkins for ensuring this process has been going so smoothly. I am happy to be able to participate on the steering committee and look forward to continued work on the plan.
