Southwestern REMSCO Meeting This past week, the Southwestern Regional Emergency Medical Services Council met for their June meeting. At this meeting, the general EMS system of our region was discussed, including the possible effects of the newly enacted changes to GML 209-b. Additionally, SWREMSCO has voted to support an EMS Leadership Academy for our region, focusing on new and up-and-coming leaders across the three counties. We look forward to coordinating this opportunity for the providers of our region. StrOleanThe first of the three dates for StrOlean takes place today, with the other two dates August 13 and October 7. The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of Olean leadership host this event to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun. STHCS will have a table set up in front of our offices to share information on our programs, including health insurance navigation, Safe Kids Southern Tier New York, Southern Tier Opioid Prevention Program, and more! We will also conduct a brief survey for our Moving Forward Together project throughout the day. We have partnered with Ardent Solutions and the City of Olean Fire Department to host a Safe Kids Southern Tier New York car seat safety inspection at OFD’s Central Station. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) will be on-site to inspect car seats to ensure the safety of children in our area. We hope to see many people out and about for these events! Have a wonderful weekend… Update Link Comments are closed.
