WNY Digital Equity Coalition Meeting Jordan presented an update on our Moving Forward Together project to the WNY Digital Equity Coalition. This coalition gifted us the funds to expand our efforts and allowed us to add another telesuite location at the Whitesville Public Library. During her presentation, she shared information from needs assessments, details about the telesuites, snippets of our telehealth training videos, and plans for the future. I wanted to shout out to Jordan for her outstanding work on this presentation and the project. Rural Health Network Technical Assistance The Charles D. Cook Office of Rural Health recently had a funding opportunity available for organizations currently funded under the Rural Health Network Development Program for technical assistance. As a result, STHCS was able to apply for and receive a grant for a Strategic Plan for our new program, Step Into Healthcare, that I have been working to develop. STHCS started this program as a pilot with Olean General Hospital and HomeCare & Hospice and aims to recruit individuals into entry-level positions to help these individuals advance further in healthcare careers. I want to thank the individuals that took the time to be interviewed by our consultant, Mary Beth Debus, as their feedback will be crucial for our plan. I look forward to receiving our completed strategic plan and expanding this program to work with several other healthcare facilities in our catchment! Strawberry Fest Last week, STHCS Staff were able to attend the Olean General Hospital Strawberry Festival and have a table as part of the health fair. In addition, we were able to promote several of STHCS' programs, including the upcoming Safe Kids events and our health insurance enrollment program. Update Link Comments are closed.
