CEO Update: February 23, 2024

Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program 

We recently received recognition from the New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Perinatal, Reproductive, and Sexual Health for our collaboration with Olean General Hospital and our SAFE program. They praised our initiatives in broadening community outreach and improving Emergency Department competency training. I would like to acknowledge Brandace Gaylor, our SAFE coordinator and Mickey Forness for their unwavering dedication in ensuring that all ER nurses receive comprehensive competency training on the SAFE program. ​

Distance Learning Equipment 

The Essex County Emergency Public Safety Building in Lewis, NY, has recently acquired new distance learning equipment thanks to our USDA RUS Distance Learning and Telemedicine grant. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Jordan Yaros for her dedicated efforts in coordinating the installation of this equipment. It's truly exciting to witness the expansion of our distance learning network into rural areas of New York State! ​
