Sexual Assault Awareness Month  This past week, Southern Tier Health Care System received Citation from Assemblyman Giglio and a Proclamation from Senator Borrello recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. I would like to thank both of our representatives for bringing awareness to this month and for their support over the years for our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner program. I would also like to thank Kathlyn Ramey, Prevention Education & Outreach Coordinator of CCA - Victim Services for presenting “Considerations When EMS Responds to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault” This presentation was attended by nearly 50 providers from across New York State and we received great feedback! Board of Directors Meeting  Our Board of Directors held its quarterly meeting Tuesday. At this meeting Ed Bysiek, CPA presented this year’s external fiscal audit and 990 to the Board which included a clean opinion of our financial operations and reaffirmed STHCS’ strong financial position. I would like to thank Ed and Colleen Ross, our bookkeeper, for their work on this. I would also like to recognize our Board members for your support which allows us to continue to work toward our rural health mission.
