Blue Fund

Last week, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY announced they are giving $4.27 million in grants to 23 organizations in Western NY. Southern Tier Health Care System is excited to have received $300,000 to develop our Mobile Integrated Healthcare program. Connecting Communities in Action also got funding to start their mobile pantry program. Both of these projects came from our work with the Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plan, which was originally funded by the CDC. We’re thankful to Highmark for supporting this project and are eager to get started with our program soon!

Ride Health 

Through our partnership with Interfaith Caregivers and CASA Trinity, we’ve successfully launched Ride Health in Cattaraugus County. Ride Health offers reliable, non-emergency medical transportation by working with local transportation providers. The platform uses technology to organize rides, helping people with substance use disorders, opioid use disorders, or mental health conditions get the treatment and recovery services they need. We’re excited to keep expanding this program in our area. ​
