Safe Sleep - Saves Lives

​What began in 2015 as the Team Beethoven Health Leadership Fellows project with the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York to promote Safe Sleep is still going strong in 2024. This month is Safe Sleep Awareness Month, and we’ve partnered with Olean General Hospital’s maternity unit to share the ABCs of safe sleep: Alone, on their Back, in their own Crib—emphasizing that Safe Sleep Saves Lives. We’ve also created t-shirts for the staff to wear, helping to spread this important message. Our ongoing goal is to provide a safe sleep environment for every baby and to educate all caregivers on its importance.

EMS Leadership

On Monday, we kicked off our Stepping into EMS Leadership class, an essential initiative in training new EMS leaders to carry on our mission and serve our communities. The curriculum is a great guide for those looking to build leadership skills, resulting in a positive impact on their agencies and the communities they support. I’m looking forward to seeing how these students grow over the next six months and want to thank their supervisors for giving them the time and support to participate.
