Cuba Memorial Hospital is a not for profit Critical Access Hospital located in Cuba, Allegany County, New York. Founded in 1923 as the “Soldiers and Sailors Home,” the organization has evolved to meet the changing health care needs of the region. StarFlight, Inc. is a medical aviation service jointly operated by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department and W.C.A. Services Corporation. Its helicopters generally provide services within a 75 mile radius of its headquarters in Jamestown, New York. Each flight is staffed with a pilot, co-pilot, physician, and nurse. Trans Am Ambulance Service is a New York State Department of Health certified Ambulance Service authorized to provide service throughout Cattaraugus County and neighboring communities. Also, Trans Am provides wheelchair services in Erie, Wyoming, Allegany, and Cattaraugus Counties with five State Department of Transportation inspected wheelchair vans that are clean and well maintained at all times.
