Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement
STEMS is dedicated to ensuring continuous improvement in prehospital performance and quality patient care to the communities of Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.
The purpose of a Quality Improvement (QI) program is to provide EMS providers, hospitals and EMS agencies with a system to evaluate the Emergency Medical Services of a certain area.

2011-2012 STEMS Quality Improvement Study
STEMS is now studying fall assessment and prevention. All agencies are urged to participate in this study. Information gathered will help STEMS plan training programs for our region’s EMS providers. This study ended in June 2012 and the results are being collected and analyzed.
