New York State updated the data standard on August 5, 2019 at approximately 9:30 am in response to concerns from software vendors and EMS agencies received by the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems.
EMS agencies are encouraged to contact their individual software vendors with questions about closing charts and submitting data as well. The software vendors are all willing to assist the EMS agencies with chart completion and data submission. Any EMS agency encountering issues or concerns with closing charts or transmitting ePCRs to the hospitals should fill out the form linked here: https://apps.health.ny.gov/pubpal/builder/survey/epcr-schematron-implementation-i and your query will be answered by the Data and Informatics Unit of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems. Thank you for your efforts documenting electronically and providing high quality patient care across New York State. Thank you! Peter Peter L.
