Narcan Training
Southern Tier Health Care System became a DOH-certified opioid overdose prevention program in 2015. STOPP offers free training to the friends and family members of those likely to suffer an overdose from heroin and prescription opiates like Oxycodone in Cattaraugus County. We also have a program to train firefighters, basic life support first responders and law enforcement in Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. Everyone who successfully completes the program will receive a free overdose prevention kit provided by the New York State Department of Health which includes two doses of intranasal Narcan.

- Distinguish between different types of overdose
- Perform rescue breathing
- Administer intranasal Narcan
