Allegany County Health Department provides necessary
services to the residents of Allegany County, New York. The
mission of the department is to “educate, motivate and empower
Allegany County residents to adopt and maintain healthy
lifestyles.” A few of the services offered by the department are
environmental health, health education, reproductive health, the
WIC program, children’s services, and various types of health-
related clinics.   

Cattaraugus County Health Department is an entity of
Cattaraugus County government whose mission is “to use the
combined forces of scientific knowledge, professional skills,
individual commitment, community support and political desire to
control disease, prevent injuries, promote and encourage
healthy behaviors and assure the quality and accessibility of
health services. To accomplish this mission, the department
offers services of varying degrees such as childhood
development services, the WIC program, preventive medical
services, reproductive services, emergency medical services,
environmental health services, and home care services. Click on

Cuba Memorial Hospital is a not for profit Critical Access
Hospital located in Cuba, Allegany County, New York. Founded
in 1923 as the “Soldiers and Sailors Home,” the organization has
evolved to meet the changing health care needs of the region.
In the year 2000, the hospital opened a dental clinic, the Urgent
Care Center expansion was completed in 2003, the Andover
Dental Clinic was acquired in 2004, and a Continuing Care
Retirement Community is currently being planned. Cuba
Memorial Hospital provides necessary services such as
radiology, long term residential care, acute care admission,
rehabilitation services, laboratory services, and palliative care.

HomeCare & Hospice is a non-profit agency offering
alternative hospice services in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Genesee
and Wyoming counties. The Medicare-certified Hospice program
provides essential health services to all age groups.  The staff is
trained, screened and supervised to serve beyond New York
State care requirements, providing a greater quality of care to
the elderly, disabled, recovering patients and those with long-
term disabilities or illnesses. Additionally, their licensed home
care program provides a wide variety of in-home medical care in
Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston,
Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming counties. HomeCare & Hospice
has a staff of more than 200 professionally screened, trained,
and supervised personnel and is headquartered in Olean, New
York.

Jones Memorial Hospital is a full-service, 70-bed acute care
facility providing a primary care network serving all of Allegany
and Steuben Counties, as well as northern Potter County, PA.  
This community hospital is committed to providing quality
healthcare by continuously raising the quality and safety of their
services.  The organization received the Quality Award in 2006,
chosen by the New York State Medicare Quality Improvement
Organization, and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Lutheran Social Services offers skilled nursing, assisted
living, elderly care and youth assistance to the Southern Tier of
New York State.  The 123-acre campus is owned and operated
by the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America.  The campus provides support to troubled
youth, healthy retirees and those in need of skilled nursing and
rehabilitative services.  More than 600 licensed care-givers help
run the off-campus subsidized housing, apartments and youth
boarding homes, as well as provide care to all residents.

Olean General Hospital is a not-for-profit, 186-bed acute care
hospital with a service area consisting of 100,000 individuals
residing in Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties in New York, and
McKean and Potter Counties in Pennsylvania. Olean General
Hospital continues to expand and lead the health care activities
in Cattaraugus County due to a progressive Board of Directors,
an involved medical staff, a dedicated group of managers, and
an Auxiliary organization that is steadfast in its support of the
hospital. Most importantly, the nurses and staff at the hospital
are well-qualified, highly trained, compassionate and devoted
professionals that provide the highest level of care to the
patients.

Olean Medical Group (OMG) is the leading multispecialty
group in the Southern Tier of Western New York. Employees
and physicians work together at the main location in Olean, as
well as the four satellite offices in Franklinville, Cuba, Ellicottville
and the Diabetes Center in Olean. With a 59 year history in the
community, 35 physicians, and over 200 employees, Olean
Medical Group is ranked third in Western New York amongst all
medical groups. OMG is a limited liability partnership operated
through the combined efforts of the Board Members and
Officers and Administration. The group responds to the
challenges of today’s healthcare environment by offering 20
specialty services, some of which include Cardiology, Pediatrics,
Dermatology, Neurology and Surgery.     

Southern Tier Physicians Association

StarFlight, Inc. is a medical aviation service jointly operated by
the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department and W.C.A.
Services Corporation. Its helicopters generally provide services
within a 75 mile radius of its headquarters in Jamestown, New
York. Each flight is staffed with a pilot, co-pilot, physician, and
nurse. StarFlight, Inc. also provides assistance to neighboring
counties whose medical helicopters were on another mission or
for more serious incidents and more than one aircraft is
necessary.

The Resource Center, located in Jamestown, New York, is a
chapter of NYSARC, Inc., formerly known as the New York State
Association for Retarded Children. The center is a not-for-profit
organization that focuses on providing services to persons and
families with any and all disabilities, as well as with many other
types of disadvantages. The Resource Center offers an array of
services, including full-time day services, clinical services, and
services delivered in the home or school.

TLC Health Network was formed through the merger of Lake
Shore Health Care Center (Irving, NY) and Tri-County Memorial
Hospital (Gowanda, NY), offering an array of health services for
you and your family, including hospital, emergency, primary
care, long term, home health, dental, mental health and
chemical dependency services. At TLC, members are committed
to quality healthcare, through a wide-range of services, where
caring comes first.

Trans Am Ambulance Service is a New York State
Department of Health certified Ambulance Service authorized to
provide service throughout Cattaraugus County and
neighboring communities. The ambulance fleet consists of nine
ALS ambulances stationed at the Olean, New York
headquarters. Also, Trans Am provides wheelchair services in
Erie, Wyoming, Allegany, and Cattaraugus Counties with five
State Department of Transportation inspected wheelchair vans
that are clean and well maintained at all times. Trans Am is
staffed by well trained and highly professional Emergency
Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and Nurses.

WCA Hospital provides regional health care throughout the
rural areas of southwestern New York and northwestern
Pennsylvania.  WCA works to improve the health and wellness of
the community through inpatient and outpatient services, while
providing compassion, dedication and a commitment to quality to
its patients.  Located in Jamestown, New York, the health system
serves more than 160,000 people in the area, specializing in
Cancer Care, Heart Care, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health,
Women’s Services and diagnostic testing services.
