A Rural Success
The New York Sate Rural Health Association conference was one of the better conferences
I've attended, due in part to the great learning sessions that were presented. Alan Morgan,
CEO of the National Rural Health Association spoke on the rural health landscape which
focused on current policy and future opportunities. There was also great opportunities to
network with other rural health networks.

Core Funding...
We received the core funding application from the Office of Rural Health for the next funding
cycle for rural health networks. We have begun to work on the RFA, and we will be soliciting
letters of support from each of our members, as well as from our elected officials. These
letters of support are crucial in the evaluation of our application. The most helpful letters are
those that are specific and list in detail how you view the network in its relationship to the
health care community in our catchment. I will be sending members further information on the
letter soon.
